About Me

Big Dog…Little Dog, Anne of Green Gables, the Wolves of Willoughby Chase, and Trixie Belden were among my favorite books when I was young.

As a child I always had my “nose buried in a book”. And it’s still hard to get me to put my book down to eat dinner!

Now my life experiences as a Peace Corps Volunteer, traveler, scuba diver, wildlife rehabilitation volunteer, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) manager for a public land management agency all inform my new career as an aspiring children’s author.

Some random facts about me…

I hate licorice. It makes me want to gag.

I love to scuba dive. Hammerhead sharks are on my bucket list.

My favorite unusual food is grasshoppers in Mexico. They are crunchy and salty and delicious.

The highest I have ever hiked is Gokyo Ri in Nepal. 17,575 feet above sea level!

I went sky diving once.

Never again.
